   Kevin  Lorie Kora
Mary

We are sad that the Behrens family moved away from Plow Creek back to Michigan in December 2007.  They left on good terms, seeking to follow the Lord's leading.

Kevin and Lorie have two beautiful girls, Kora (born January 2001) and Mary (born March 2005) and a new son, Owen (born August 2007).  Kevin works for Plow Creek Farm doing marketing, market development, and much more.  Lorie devotes most of her time to mothering, but also helps with farm marketing.

The Behrens family moved to Plow Creek from Michigan on December 31, 2003.  Kevin left his job as a software developer in Grand Rapids, MI to work for Evergreen Leaders as an intern.  Prior to becoming a full-time mom, Lorie briefly worked as a structural engineer.  Kora is three and full of energy.

Kora discusses her Mom and Dad:Kora's drawing of family
I like to wash my hands with Daddy.  I like to go to the park with Daddy.  I like to go Trick-or-Treating with Daddy.

I like to go to the park with Mommy.  I like to write with Mommy.  I did know that Mommy could open the top window.

Kevin discusses Kora:
Kora challenges and awakens us with her enthusiasm and curiosity.  She is shy around strangers, but loves to sing and tell stories.  She seems secure here and her personality grows each week.

Lorie discusses Kora:
Kora is very curious about and concerned for animals.  She likes to help in the kitchen and talk about Jesus and going to see him someday.  She is keenly observant and remembers well what she hears.

Lorie discusses Kevin:
Kevin has the gift of making everyone with whom he speaks feel special and important.  He is genuinely curious about everything; intelligent enought to understand the answers to his inquiries; and humble enough to value others' knowledge.  Kevin is self-motivated and typically does more than is asked of him.  He makes me say, "Wow!"

Kevin discusses Lorie:
Lorie has an eye for simplicity and beauty.  I am ever-grateful for her built-in immunity to all things gaudy and trendy.  Humble and unassuming, she is equally at home in a differential equation, quilt pattern, or Tolkien novel.  Although Lorie distains politics and is wary of causes and activism, she has a heart for compassion and stewardship.
