Plow Creek Farm will be at the Peoria and Princeton farmers’ markets on Saturday. The first watermelon are now in. We also plan to bring muskmelon, blueberries, blackberries and a few red raspberries. We have plenty of tomatoes and peppers (both green and a few ripe). Zucchini, cucumbers, onions, garlic, potatoes, and some wild greens will also be there. We’ve just made jam from some of the blackberries — delicious! And Plow Creek Bakery will have plenty of home-made baked goods. Peoria market opens at 8:00 and Princeton at 8:30.

We will be at market in Princeton this afternoon with blackberries, blueberries, and red raspberries. We should have fresh garlic, cucumbers, zucchini, cilantro, a few tomatoes and peppers. Market is open from 3:00 to 5:30.

We will be at Peoria and Princeton farmers’ markets on Saturday. We have fruit: blueberries, blackberries, red raspberries and muskmelon. Vegetables include tomatoes, green peppers, eggplant, beets, new potatoes, onions, fresh garlic, basil, zucchini, and cucumbers. Plow Creek Bakery will provide cookies, rolls, and breads. Beautiful bountiful berries at markets Saturday in Princeton and Peoria. Mostly raspberries and blueberries, with some black raspberries and blackberries in Princeton. We’ll also have cabbage, chard, fresh garlic, onions, zucchini, cucumbers, basil and cilantro. Maybe we’ll have a few early tomatoes at Princeton and beets in Peoria. Peoria market opens at 8:00 and Princeton at 8:30.

Today in Princeton we will have plenty of berries. There’s a good supply or red raspberries, black raspberries and blueberries. We will also bring what might be the last of the strawberries. For veggies, we have chard, kale, zucchini (green and yellow varieties), cilantro, turnips, and garlic scapes. Market opens at 3:00.

We will open for blueberry picking on Wednesday, June 22. There are ripe berries in most of the rows. Berries you pick cost $2.90 / pound. We will provide a bucket to pick into. You may find it easier if you have a belt to hold the bucket. We ask that you bring a container to bring your berries home in, but will have cardboard flats at 50 cents each if you need them. Blueberries and strawberries will be our featured products in Princeton on Saturday. We also hope to bring our first few black and red raspberries of the season. We will have plenty of zucchini and turnips. We also have green garlic and cilantro. Plow Creek Bakery will provide their usual excellent selection of baked goods. Market runs from 8:30 until 1:00.

A week ago we picked two pints of blueberries. Tuesday we harvested six pints. Today we gathered 172 pints. We will have plenty at market in Princeton, Peoria, and Bloomington. Pick your own will open sometime next week when we get ready.

The blueberries are starting to ripen in greater quantity. We plan to open for picking sometime next week, but the exact schedule has not been determined yet. We will have the latest schedule at

A tough morning! One of our staff got sick, and the cattle got out. This left few people for harvest for market. We will have some strawberries and blueberries in Princeton today, but expect to sell out early. Market opens at 3:00.

Saturday, at Princeton Farmers’ Market, we plan to bring plenty of strawberries. We’ll also have the first few blueberries, plus green garlic, garlic chives and stinging nettle. Plow Creek Bakery also has a good variety of baked goods. Market opens at 8:30 and officially runs until 1:00, but we might sell out earlier.

Cantaloupe (also called muskmelon) is now in season and will be appearing in our Saturday markets in Princeton and Peoria. Other fruit we will also have are blueberries, red raspberries, and blackberries. We have plenty of tomatoes, plus eggplant, sweet and hot peppers, cucumbers, green beans, chard, beets, jam and honey. Plow Creek Bakery will have a fine selection of goodies. Peoria market opens at 8:00 and Princeton at 8:30.
