Tim and Carol Gale and their three daughters, Ciara, Jaedyn and Eliana, have been a part of Plow Creek Church for the past seven years. As the son of David and Margaret Gale, Tim grew up at Plow Creek from the age of three. He never really thought that he would return to community living here when he left for college in 1986, but God had another plan.

Carol's history of community living began after high school when she spent five years working with Youth With a Mission (YWAM). Although it was a different type of community, many of the principles of community living were the same. She loved being around other people committed to each other and committed to getting to know the Lord and seeking to serve Him with their entire lives.

Married in July of 1994, Tim and Carol spent their first two years as a married couple in North Newton, Kansas. Tim worked at Mennonite Press and kept busy making “cool stuff” in a nice pottery studio. Once Carol finished her schooling as a physician assistant, they moved to northeastern Kansas where Carol worked in a small rural hospital.  When Ciara was born, thoughts about where to raise their family became a bigger issue. Community to them is an obvious choice when it comes to raising their children with a heart for the Lord.

In 2004, Tim and Carol moved five miles away to live at Menno Haven Camp and Retreat Center, where Tim is the Program Director.  Carol homeschools their oldest two children, and is enjoying being a full-time mother after working full-time for seven and a half years. They also like to spend time outside gardening, hiking, fishing, camping, geocaching and picnicking.

Besides working at the camp Tim has a small business making hand drums and didgeridoos, as well as pottery.

Ciara was born in October 1997.   She loves to play imaginary games and has a gift for drawing cartoon-like characters.  This year she started playing piano, and she also takes a tumbling and trampoline class at the YMCA in Kewanee.  It isn’t unusual to see her get up and dance spontaneously during worship.

Jaedyn was born in May 1999.  She is very energetic and enthusiastic about everything she does.  She loves imaginary play, having books read to her and playing on the computer.  She thrives in her tumbling and trampoline class, and enjoys playing with the other children at common activities.

Eliana was born July 2004.  She came out at an amazing 12 lbs and 3 oz.  She is still a big girl.  She has lots of brown hair and is as cute as a kitten.
