Plow Creek Fellowship Next Generation Survey

In 1971 the Lord called a small, group of people to start Plow Creek Fellowship, a rural intentional Christian community, near Tiskilwa, Illinois. Located on a 189-acre farm with hills, valleys, woods and fields, the fellowship currently includes eight couples ranging in age from the forties through seventies and children ranging in age from one to eighteen.
As the fellowship enters the 21st century we are opening our hearts and minds to the next move of the Lord.  Life together has been a gift from the Lord to us and to our families. We are eager to make the deep changes  necessary to be part of what the Lord is doing in the next generation of people in their twenties and thirties.

As we've prayed together we sense our mission is to be a global village practicing the peace of Jesus. But how do we shape our life together to be true to our mission and to be open to the next generation?

To help us better understand what the Lord has next for PCF we want to listen to Christians, especially those in their twenties and thirties. We'd like to listen to you, whatever your age. Here are some of the questions we're asking.

  1.    Have you felt a yearning for Christian community? If yes, describe what you are looking for when you yearn   for community?

  2.    At Plow Creek Fellowship we believe that each believer has a mission from the Lord. Do you have a sense of  mission in life?  Do you have a group of people who support you in that mission?

  3.    How are you currently being supported in your spiritual life and how do you support others in their spiritual   lives?

  4.    At Plow Creek Fellowship we have a common treasury with all titled property owned by PCF as a way for each   of us to work for the common good whether in common work or in jobs in the wider community. What's yourresponse to the idea of a common treasury? Have you ever thought of the idea of a common treasury? How would you envision yourself and your family as part of a common treasury?

  5.    At Plow Creek Fellowship we emphasize decision-making with trust and openness. What experiences have   you had in making decisions for your good and the good of others?

  6.    Other comments and questions are welcome.

   7.   It would help if you described your family, including the ages and family size.
