  A word of welcome

Recently my son, Jon, and a friend followed the creek we're named after to the spot where it joins the larger Bureau Creek. My son tossed in a fishing line. A couple of hours later he came home and said, “Dad, that's a great fishing spot. I caught all kinds of fish -- bluegills, a small mouth bass, carp and a catfish.”

Plow Creek has two streams -- Plow Creek Church and Plow Creek Fellowship. We trust that at the point they flow together amazing things will happen so that people will say, “Wow, that's a great spot. I received all kinds of gifts from the Lord there.”

God has given each of us at Plow Creek the incredible gift of life through his son, Jesus. Out of his generosity we welcome new people like you to Plow Creek.

Plow Creek is a church and an intentional community, a busy farm, a still, small place, a broken people, a place of God's joy, the end of a trek and the beginning of a journey. May we be God's people to you while you are with us.

We are a tiny part of God's vast kingdom. God's kingdom includes many churches beyond Plow Creek. We are Mennonite, a small denomination among a rainbow of denominations and independent churches that span the globe.

We exist to worship the Lord, love one another and to serve people beyond us.

This web site is like a brief map of Plow Creek highlighting who we are, our vision, how to join us, and our history. Maps are interesting but reality is more varied, painful, complex and beautiful. Come and see.

In Him,

Rich Foss
for Plow Creek Church and Fellowship

This word of welcome is adapted from a longer introduction to Plow Creek, Gentle Flow.
