The Tiskilwa Strawberry Festival is an annual
tradition that takes place the second Saturday in June. There are
townwide garage sales and at West Park, the grills are cooking chicken
for lunch. Plow Creek
sells strawberry shortcake and ice cream for desert. Several
years, our youth group, for a fund raiser, has taken responsibility for
the rolls, coleslaw, and baked beans that go along with the chicken
meal.We
got together on Friday the day before to mix the cole slaw after
helping
to cut up berries, and then on Saturday we served them. Here our some
pictures
of the two days.
